Jamaica Elento is a 19-year-old artist and undergraduate student currently pursuing a Fine Arts major in Studio Arts at the University of the Philippines Cebu. Her practice is centered on visual storytelling across traditional and digital mediums, including oil/acrylic painting, charcoal, graphite, and digital illustration. Her work often explores themes of introspection, femininity, and identity, frequently utilizing the human form and anatomical studies to express internal narratives.

Her artistic practice is driven by a technical interest in both traditional and modern mediums, ranging from detailed charcoal and graphite drawings to expressive oil and digital paintings. By combining these techniques, she explores the subtle aspects of the human experience and personal identity. Her current work focuses on using different materials to translate internal reflections into a clear visual narrative.

Tina Marie Gandiongco
After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UP Cebu, Tina Marie Gandiongco spent much of her professional life working in the corporate world. For many years, she did not expect that she would once again have the opportunity to reconnect with her passion for visual art.
Yet life found its way back to creativity. While working at Chong Hua Hospital, Tina became instrumental in organizing art exhibitions—an initiative that continues to contribute to Cebu’s vibrant art scene today.
A prolific visual artist, Tina works across several media, including oil, acrylic, and watercolor. Her art reflects both her technical training and her enduring love for creative expression.

As we honor these remarkable women during National Women’s Month, we celebrate not only their artistic achievements but also their courage to pursue creativity, tell their stories, and share their vision with the world. Through their works, they continue to enrich the cultural landscape of Cebu and inspire the next generation of artists.
The Friday Group Sessionistas remain proud to stand beside these talented Cebuana visual artists whose passion, dedication, and artistry remind us that creativity knows no gender—only imagination, perseverance, and heart.
