In times like these, when the world often feels uncertain and shifting, I find myself searching for something steady, something solid, something that keeps the spirit grounded. Ito yung saloobin ko sa search na iyon. This piece came from that quiet reflection. Amid the chaos, the noise, and the questions that surround us, I believe there is always that omniscient light that continues to guide us.

Sometimes that light is obvious. Sometimes it hides behind clouds, barely visible. But it remains there… constant, patient, and enduring.

For me, this painting is a reminder that hope, faith, and grace can still anchor us even in uncertain waters. When everything nowadays feels unstable, there is always a light… that light, even just a spark that holds everything together.
Salamat, God. Salamat, universe. ☕️

If you happen to be around A. De Legaspi Street, Project 4, in Quezon City, eight of my figurative works are currently housed at Artienda Art Gallery. These pieces are part of my “Senti: Nostalgia” series; some of my most personal and meaningful works, exploring memory, longing, and quiet reflection.

You may contact the curator directly to schedule a viewing. I’d be honored if you could drop by and experience them in person. Maraming Salamat po! ❤️

This work speaks of a quiet kind of loneliness… the kind that exists even when love is still present.

There are moments in life when we long for friends, family, and loved ones the way we once had them; unrestricted, immediate, and whole. Yet time, responsibilities, distance, and circumstance slowly place invisible lines between us. Not walls of hatred, but boundaries of living.

This painting is about ‘mutual longing’ where souls still resonating with each other, still connected, yet unable to fully reach across the space that now exists. It is a quiet tension between closeness and distance, presence and absence.

The connection is still there.
It’s just quieter now.
