FAREWELL, TITO ROMMEL. 🕊️

Rommel Dave Aratan was more than Teatro Caviteño’s Deputy Director. He was the playwright and director of Soledad: Reina de Cavite and the recent co-director of Bongga Man: The Musical. He was one of the pillars of our theater family, a teacher, mentor, and friend who generously shared his time, knowledge, and love for the craft.

Through the many workshops he conducted, he taught us more than acting and performance. He helped us find confidence in ourselves, discover our potential, and deepen our love for theater.

His contributions to Teatro Caviteño are immeasurable. His words, stories, and lessons will continue to live through every artist he helped shape and every stage he brought to life.

Thank you for everything, Tito Rommel. You will forever remain a part of Teatro Caviteño’s story. 🎭

Nagsimula muli ang kuwento ng “Tagpuan” dahil kabilang ito sa 26 shortlisted entries sa Musical Category ng Puregold Teatro Panalo mula sa 373 entries!

Ito ay mula sa panulat nina John Austin Perez at Rhoe Emnas, mga pioneer member ng Teatro Caviteño.

Isa sa mga pinakanakakatuwang feedback na natanggap namin ay kung paano nakita at naunawaan ng audience ang lalim ng karakter ni Severino Imperial.

Hindi lang siya isang simpleng kontrabida. Siya ay may mabuting hangarin, may mga maling desisyon, at may sariling dilim na unti-unting lumamon sa kanya.

Isang karakter na nagpapaalala na ang tunay na kabayanihan ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa mabuting hangarin, kundi sa mga desisyong pinipili nating gawin. 💚
