What a turn of events! After 2 hours of non-stop grueling chess matches, Region 8 Online Chess Club arose as the winner of yesterday’s Team Battle at Lichess.org with an impeccable score of 143-77 in favor of the all-boys team. The player going by the username of lalashy_me grabbed 31 points from the UQCC all-girls team, securing ⅕ of the points as contribution to his team.

Once again, the organization congratulates the seven outstanding players who represented the R8COC and of course, our sponsor, Igot Chess Center and Catbalogan City Chess Club for giving us the opportunity to play and share our passion for chess. Hopefully this would not be the last time to play against such a strong team. Whom shall we play next?
