After a couple last minute hiccups and a few days off the intended return date, I’m glad to say we’re back. 😁

Though temporarily I will not be alone to manage some on the ground stuff, I have my good friend and fellow halfsie, Mathias (aka “Mattie”) helping out with the chats.

Mattie’s a brother from another mother based in the UK who was nice enough to offer aid with answering queries on my behalf while I’m at my busiest. I have equipped him with the files and necessary details to keep all of you going (bar customer info and other private stuff) and he is also proficient enough to give advice and point you in the right direction for any type of general questions.

Only thing he will be unable to do would be managing discussions of nihonto (or antiques in general) as those are out of his area of interest/expertise at this time. It’s worth noting that I have shared a few pieces with him that are available but apart from the write ups I had made, he will be unable to provide any further insights beyond that.

With that in mind, Mattie will be focusing mostly on new inquiries, discussions pre-acquisition and a bit of my area which will be focusing on post-acquisition and whatever entails after the fact.

The UK is a couple hours behind the PH so Mattie will be more active later in the day over here but the extra hands are always a welcome addition. I am extremely thankful for the assistance he has provided and it will be quite the crazy time catching up to a couple hundred chats that have piled up. 😅

Hi everyone!
It’s been super quiet once more but I’m back (finally 😅).

I was able to keep tabs with a couple of you via the DMs but as you may be aware with the recent announcements, I’ve been bouncing around a temporary place and a few other spaces (across Pampanga, Laguna, and Cavite).

While I was happy with the temporary space I was working with, I opted to rush plans for early 2024 for a semi-permanent home, not just for me, but for all my modern builds + antiques as well.

With that in mind, the shop is now, and up to the immediate future, based in Carmona, Cavite. (Just a couple stone throws away from Biñan, Laguna at the boundary)

When I moved in, there was no internet connection and very poor reception for Globe users (so, yes, a Smart number’s coming soon) but a stable connection has been achieved late yesterday and here I am now.

While that’s the most “major” announcement, here are a couple more minor ones that have to be shared:

Regular delivery schedules will resume by Monday (20-Nov-23) as I’m still moving more stuff/stock around

Fresh stock of modern builds are arriving by the end of November (along with majority of commissioned builds prior to the end of year)

I’ve let go of my previous social media assistants (particularly my chat support team of two) due to various reasons so I’m back to being a true one-man team (bar my team of skilled craftsmen in Thailand + affiliates for nihonto across the US/JP)

Long time in the making - a 2-3 day process turned into a two week ordeal. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Unfortunately, I still lack sufficient stands at this time so the random lot of stock modern builds and antiques have to lounge around on the couch indefinitely, also, it’s quite sad that some items got damaged/became “collateral damage” due to the move.

Focusing on chat management in the meantime as I’ve missed a couple (well, a lot 😅) over the relocation process… but since it’s a Sunday I don’t expect to get through many.

Hi everyone!
It’s been incredibly quiet here recently and I apologize for my absence.

Due to various reasons in/out of my control, I’ve decided to move the business to a new a location.

As I’ve always said to many of you, “the shop is basically wherever I am” and with that given, I came to the conclusion to move to a more dedicated space to better serve you all.

There are still lots of items to unpack and rearrange over the next few days and, unfortunately, this will cause a further delay with regard to chat activity and deliveries.

Trust that everything will go back to normal (or even better) once everything is set up. If you have anything pending with me, I will get back to you as soon as I can.
