Today’s recipe is a classic Filipino Fish Steak using Fishta Seafood Deboned Bangus Belly. It’s so easy to prepare, but the flavors definitely scream Lutong Alaga ni Nanay. 🧡

Steps:
1️⃣ Fry Fishta Bangus Belly until golden brown.
2️⃣ Sauté garlic in the same pan.
3️⃣ Pour in soy sauce, water, and lemon juice (or vinegar). Let it simmer.
4️⃣ Add the fish back, cover, and cook (3 mins).
5️⃣ Add onions, salt, and pepper. Simmer until the onions are tender.

Looking for summer snack ideas? Pizza is one of our faves, a staple snack for Andre this summer!

This Air-fried French bread pizza with King Sue Ham Pepperoni takes only 10 minutes. Perfect for busy moms and hungry kids!

📋 AIR FRYER FRENCH BREAD PIZZA RECIPE 📋
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:
🥖 2 loaves of French bread
🍅 Pizza or tomato sauce
🧀 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
🍕 King Sue Ham Pepperoni
🌿other toppings you prefer (optional)

Easy Steps:
- Spray the air fryer bucket with a non-stick cooking spray or put an air fryer parchment sheet and set aside.
- Cut the French bread in half like you would for a sandwich. Then cut it down to fit your air fryer basket. (or you can do the other way).
- Spread the pizza or tomato sauce over the top of the bread.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on the sauce. Next comes the pepperoni and/or other toppings you want for your pizza. Lastly, cover or sprinkle them with cheese. You need to put some cheese on top of the toppings to weigh them down and keep them in place.
- Air fry at 175°C for 5-8 minutes. Check at 5 minutes to see if the cheese is melted or golden brown. If not, cook for a few minutes more until it's to your liking. Cooking time will vary. (mine: 5mins).
- Serve hot and ready to eat.
Yield: for my French bread - 1 loaf = 6 slices/6 pizza

Being a busy mom, I’m always looking for ways to keep the kids full without spending the whole day sa kitchen. This 10-minute recipe using King Sue Ham Pepperoni is our ultimate "survival hack"—it’s fast, crunchy, and kid-approved!

We found a hidden gem in QC that serves Filipino-Western comfort food. If you are looking for a restaurant na family-friendly, malinis, sulit ang servings, at actually worth the drive—this is it. 🍖🍽

Afternoon playtime at Cartoonville Tagaytay at Skyranch Tagaytay! 🎡

The kids and their cousins really made the most of the day, especially since we had the VIP Pass to skip the lines.

My son’s top pick was the Giant Slide, though paguran talaga siya since he had to climb back up every time he wanted another round! 🏃‍♂️💨

✅ Pros: The Gel Blaster Arena and Inflatables kept them busy for hours. Perfect for group photos and family bonding.
⚠️ Cons: Open area siya, so it gets very hot and limited ang shade. Pawis na pawis sila paglabas! It would be better if they had water stations inside, so it would be less of a hassle for the kids.

Pro-tip: Pack extra clothes, portable fans, and lots of water! Overall, the kids had a great time. Plus mas makakatipid kung magpapass kesa you will pay per attraction.🌈✨

"Best memories are made around good food." 🍽️✨

Dati ko pa nadadaanan itong Hi-Top Supermarket since I studied in UST at ito talaga ang route ko galing bahay, pero ngayon ko lang na-discover ang Plana’s Pantry sa same building. Happy to discover this hidden gem!

As someone with an Interior Design background, na-appreciate ko yung American home-style interiors nila: cozy, clean, and inviting. Pati CR nila ay well-maintained, 10/10 para sa akin dahil isa ito sa mga tinitingnan ko talaga sa mga restaurant.

I’m sharing our experience dahil maganda itong option para sa mga naghahanap ng quality comfort food:

🍖 Hickory BBQ Ribs (Big Solo Meal): Isa sa mga best sellers nila. Malambot at fall-off-the-bone ang meat. It comes with corn sides and their signature Pesto Rice (love the rice texture). Honestly, malaki ang serving ng solo meals nila; pwedeng-pwede i-share kung hindi kayo masyadong malakas kumain.
🍄 Mushroom Salpicao: Dahil mushroom girl ako, hindi ko ito pwedeng palampasin. Well-seasoned, hindi dry, at masarap i-pair sa corn sides ng ribs or kahit kainin ng mag-isa lang.
🍗 Java Chicken & Pesto Spinach Cheese Bread: Surprisingly, nagustuhan ni Andre yung bread at rice kahit may pesto na included sa Java Chicken. Soft din yung chicken and very easy to digest. So these are both kid-friendly foods.
🍝 Carbonara: Classic creamy goodness, win din sa mga kids.
🍟 Frizzy French Fries: Crispy kahit hindi na mainit at well-seasoned, hindi maalat.
🎂 Midnight Chocolate Slice: As a baker, picky ako sa pastries. This is moist, classic, and "pasado sa trentahin" dahil hindi siya overly sweet.
🍋 Iced Tea: Homemade lemon iced tea na refreshing at hindi lasang instant. Naubos ko mag-isa yung isang pitcher.

Overall Verdict:
Very homey vibes at family-friendly ang place. Accommodating ang staff at mabilis sila mag-linis ng tables. Sulit ang food lalo na sa big servings nila pero yung price ay affordable. I love that the owners keep their price point accessible but with quality meals.

Siguro a kid portion meal option on the menu would be a great addition, for sure ma-aappreciate ng families na may kasamang smaller kids.
