Halina't Maki-Sining!

With this year’s theme β€œANI NG SINING, BUNGA NG GALING,” the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) leads the celebration of National Arts Month (NAM) this February and March with various exciting face-to-face and online activities. Said theme aims to immerse Filipinos in diverse cultural expressions and celebrate the bountiful harvest from the Filipino imagination.

The theme β€œgaling” refers to excellence in the arts as both a source of bounty despite challenging times, and a product of the passion of Filipino artists and cultural workers. In celebrating National Arts Month in 2023, β€œgaling” alludes to artistic excellence as well as underscoring the capacity of the arts to heal, rebuild, and restore in a post-pandemic setting.

Promulgated by then President Corazon Aquino in 1991, Presidential Proclamation No. 683 declared February of every year as National Arts. Month to celebrate the artistic excellence and pay tribute to the uniqueness and diversity of the Filipino heritage and culture.

FREE heART WORKSHOP β€˜23

Does your art skill fuel your creativity and make you feel like a true artist? Do you want to explore your creativity in a variety of mediums? Well, we invite you to DX LABS' first-ever heART WORKS EXHIBIT and free ART WORKSHOP.

ART WORKSHOP for KIDS: 10-15 years old will be held on February 11. While for ADULTS: 16 years old to above will be on February 12, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at DX LABS, 2nd Floor., M.A.R. Building, Rosales Boulevard corner Umbria Street, Calbayog City.

This art workshop allows participants to showcase their talents in art in different mediums, specifically, sketching, canvas painting, oil pastel, and watercolors. Each day, we'll have two simultaneous classes that will be led by accomplished Calbayog Artists. Best of all, all art materials will be provided on-site, for free!
