Hearing the story of Ser Geybin really touched my heart.
It made me realize that even the strongest people get tired too. Hindi sa lahat ng pagkakataon, tayo ang iniisip ng iba. Minsan tayo naman ang laging nag-aadjust, laging nagbibigay, laging gumagawa ng paraan para mapasaya ang mga mahal natin sa buhay.
He always appeared strong. He always provide. Pero sa likod ng tapang na iyon, may mga laban din pala siyang tahimik na kinakaharap.
I have an ate and a kuya, but there are moments when I feel like I am carrying the role of the eldest being the one who witnesses the heartbreaks of your parents, being the one who tries to stay strong for the younger ones, being the one who holds everything together.
And sometimes, ikaw lang lahat.
No one really asks, “Kamusta ka? Okay ka pa ba?” It's a different kind of loneliness when everyone assumes you're strong enough to handle everything.
That's why I'm grateful.
Maybe I don't have all the big things in life, but I always have something to thank God for. One of His greatest gifts to me is having a supportive husband who constantly reminds me, “Ako ang kakampi mo.”
If you have an ate or kuya, check on them today.
Most likely, they'll answer, “Okay lang ako.”
But deep inside, they may be carrying battles they simply don't know how to put into words.
Be kind. Be present. Sometimes, the strongest people need support too. ❤️
We are praying for you geybin.
