From as early as four years old, Rudolf Golez took piano lessons from his mother which marked the beginning of his musical journey. At 13, he went to Juilliard School in New York and studied under Seymour Lipkin. He made his orchestral debut at a young age of 17 with the Manila Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Sergio Esmilla.

He continued to train in Graz, Austria, and eventually graduated with a Master’s degree in Music from the University of the Philippines.

Notable highlights of his career include: First ASEAN Chopin International Competition Prize Winner in Malaysia, Special performance for the then First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos at the Coconut Palace, and a soloist feaature for the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and Manila Symphonic Orchestra. He also performed across the Philippines, Australia, China and the United States.

Currently, Rudolf Golez serves as the Vice President for Cultural Affairs at Liceo de Cagayan University.

Happy Philippine Creative Industries Month!

Liceo de Cagayan University’s cultural office, the Liceo Office of Cultural Affairs (LOCA) and its units, the Rodelsa Hall, the Civic Center, the two Audio Visual Rooms, the RNP Campus AVR, and La Castilla Museum support our country’s thrust for a globally competitive Philippine Creative Industries.

In September 2022, we first celebrated creative industries month with the establishment of Republic Act No. 11904, aimed to support and further develop Pinoy creativity and ingenuity with a policy and governance framework. This year 2024, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) launched the month-long celebrations on September 3.
