Dulaang Atenista belongs to the tradition of the University’s excellence in theater, which hails all the way back to the Kagayhaan de Oro Theater Association (KOTA) in 1974, and includes the Xavier Theater Association (XTA), the Christian Youth Development Association (CYDA), and Teatrong Lungsodnon (TELUN). Since its founding in 1988, Dulaang Atenista has, over the years, evolved into a more vita

l presence in the University and the community at large. Currently, it advocates the promotion and preservation of Filipino art and culture as the theater company engages in the dynamics and celebrations of peace, diversity, and human dignity. Furthermore, Dulaang Atenista harnesses talents and creative forces in Xavier and forges partnerships with the community.
