POKEMON Renegade Platinum (Hardcore Nuzlocke)

Welcome to our livestream of Pokémon Renegade Platinum (Hardcore Nuzlocke). The challenge rules are listed below:
- Catch only the first Pokémon encountered in the area.
- Rename the Pokémon.
- If the Pokémon faints, it is PERMANENTLY GONE.
- Battle must be at SET mode all times.
- Items are not allowed during battle, but held items can be used.
- In Hardcore Nuzlocke, level cap of Pokémon is set to the highest level of next gym leader or last Elite 4.
- If all Pokémon faint in a party, it's a game over.

Cheats applied (non-game breaking): rare candies (I hate grinding livestream), auto dialogue, perfect catch

Keep the chat clean. Let's chill and have fun. Watch me go in victory or wallow in defeat as I lose Pokémon one after another.

Previously in the "Pokémon Renegade Platinum" Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge.

We finally got to Eterna City thanks to Gyarados trivializing Commander Mars in the Valley Windworks.

But disaster struck before coming into the Gardenia gym fight. And so, we marched on to certain doom and Attempt 3 ended in a loss.

How far can we go now in Attempt 4?

The Sinnoh region in Pokémon boasts one of the best starter trio design-wise. With Turtwig as a solid physical attacker, Chimchar as an able mixed attacker, and Piplup as a worthy special attacker, any of the three starters can give their best in any of the challenges in their main games they appear - most notably in Pokémon Platinum.

So, who's your favorite Sinnoh starter? Or who's the starter you usually go to during a Sinnoh playthrough?
