The fourth week of May celebrates International Arts Education. Ayon sa UNESCO, ang kultura at sining ay nagbibigay sa bawat isa sa atin ng kakayahang mag-isip nang malikhain, makiramdam, at matuto habambuhay.

Why is Banana Catsup Red?

Actually, ang original na banana catsup ni Maria Orosa ay brown mula sa natural na kulay ng nilutong saging. Inimbento niya ito dahil mahirap mahanap at mahal rin ang kamatis nuong World War 2. And like many inventions, the recipe evolved and improved!

Since then, nadagdagan ito ng food colorants, vinegar, sweeteners, extra spices at iba pang ingredients to create the red tamis-anghang catsup we love today!
