Emerging through automatist gestures and intuitive form-finding, "The Creation of Edam and Ave" reimagines creation mythology through an organic, surreal language.
Two primeval figures surface from a shifting terrain of roots, atmosphere, abyss, and luminous decay, suspended between genesis and dissolution. Echoing the biblical shadow of Adam and Eve while distorting it into something dreamlike and half-remembered, the work becomes an exodus from the inherited image of paradise, now held in a purgatorial state of becoming. Through metamorphic forms and haunting stillness, Rem Kulas navigates the fragile threshold where creation, ruin, and perpetual transformation coexist.
