Today we contemplate the humility of Christ, who steps into the waters of the Jordan not because He needed cleansing, but to stand fully with us. In His baptism, Jesus sanctifies the waters and reveals His obedience to the Father’s will — a quiet yet powerful beginning of His public mission.

This feast invites us to remember our own baptism: when we were claimed as God’s beloved, called to live in righteousness, and sent forth as light to the world. May we renew our commitment to walk faithfully in Christ, trusting that even in humility and obedience, God’s saving plan is fulfilled.

This Sunday, John the Baptist reminds us that Advent is a time of purification and preparation. His call invites us to turn away from anything that keeps us from God and make room in our hearts for Christ, who comes not only with gentleness, but with the power to renew, cleanse, and transform.

The Lord desires to refine us like gold—removing what is unnecessary, healing what is wounded, and strengthening what is weak. As we continue our Advent journey, may we welcome the fire of the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to shape us into people ready for Christ’s coming.

As we enter the season of Advent, the Church invites us to wait with hope and watchfulness. This time is not only about preparing for Christmas, but also about preparing our hearts for the coming of Christ—both in our daily lives and at the end of time.

In the midst of routines, worries, and distractions, Jesus calls us: Stay awake. Be mindful, be prayerful, and be ready to welcome Him. May this season reawaken our faith, renew our hearts, and remind us that God’s presence can arrive quietly, at moments we least expect.

In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that trials are not signs of His absence, but moments where His grace shines most brightly. Today, we remember and pray for all the faithful departed — our loved ones who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith. Though they may no longer walk beside us, their souls live on in the light of God’s mercy and the promise of eternal life.

As we lift our prayers and songs, we entrust them to the Lord who conquered death with His love. May our hearts be filled not with sorrow alone, but with hope — for in Christ, every goodbye is only temporary, and every tear will one day be wiped away.

This Sunday’s Gospel invites us to look deep within our hearts and ask: How do I stand before God? True prayer is not about boasting in our goodness but humbly recognizing our need for His mercy. The Pharisee spoke of himself; the tax collector opened himself to grace.

When we pray, sing, and serve, may we do so with hearts that bow low before the Lord — not to compare, but to confess; not to elevate ourselves, but to let God lift us up. For it is the humble heart that finds favor in His eyes and the contrite spirit that He exalts

𝘈𝘴 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘑𝘦𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘮, 𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘦. 𝘈𝘴 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘷𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘦, 𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘭𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘮𝘦𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴, 𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨, “𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴, 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳! 𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘯 𝘶𝘴!”

In today’s Gospel, we meet hearts that cry out for mercy — ten lepers who longed not only for healing but for hope. And just as He did for them, Jesus hears the cries of all who call upon His name. His compassion crosses every boundary — of distance, of sin, of unworthiness.

When we lift our voices in faith, even from afar, He draws near. When we sing, pray, and serve with open hearts, we too echo that same humble plea: “Jesus, Master! Have pity on us.” And as He heals and restores us, may we never forget to return in gratitude, proclaiming His goodness in every song and every act of love.

𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

Faith — even the smallest kind — has the power to move hearts, heal wounds, and bring miracles to life. The Lord reminds us today that it is not the size of our faith that matters, but its sincerity. A mustard seed may be tiny, yet when nurtured with prayer, trust, and love, it grows into something strong and life-giving.

May our hearts be like fertile soil where faith takes root and flourishes. In every note we sing and every act of service we offer, may we trust that God is at work — turning even the smallest seeds of faith into great wonders of His grace.

Luke 16:19–22

This Sunday’s Gospel reminds us that true richness is not found in possessions, comfort, or status, but in a heart that loves, serves, and shares. The rich man, though clothed in splendor, failed to see the suffering at his very doorstep. Lazarus, poor and wounded, was carried into Abraham’s bosom, for heaven values what the world often overlooks.

As we lift our voices in song, may our hearts be stirred to compassion. May we not close our eyes to the “Lazarus” around us — the poor, the sick, the forgotten — but see Christ in them and offer what we can with humility and love. For in giving, we gain a treasure that moth and rust cannot destroy: eternal life with God.
