May 28, 2026 @2:00 PM - The SMU Administration headed by the University President Dr. John Octavious S. Palina, warmly welcomed the winning Marian candidates of the recently concluded Search for Saniata ti Nueva Vizcaya 2026 in a special courtesy visit . Out of the 10 outstanding candidates, 6 proud Marians who represented their own municipalities shone brightly on the stage, carrying with them the values and excellence that inspire the entire SMU community.

This reflects a significant rise from its 470th global placement in 2024, showcasing SMU’s strengthened commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility, and campus-wide green development.

𝐒𝐌𝐔-𝐓𝐏 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫-𝐔𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧’𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya — SMU Teatro Publiko (SMU-TP) proudly bagged 2nd Runner-Up at the Provincial Organization’s Fair, organized by the Provincial Local Youth Development Office (PLYDO) for Linggo ng Kabataan 2025. The event, held at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center, gathered youth organizations from across the province to showcase their advocacies, creativity, and commitment to social development.

SMU-TP, known for its advocacy-driven and socially conscious theater productions, highlighted its mission of using art as a platform for public discourse, cultural pride, and social change. Through its booth and presentation, the organization amplified its cause of engaging the youth and the community in meaningful conversations about pressing social issues.

The Organization’s Fair served as an avenue for local youth organizations to promote their advocacies, strengthen collaborations, and celebrate the role of young leaders in nation-building.

SMU-TP extends its gratitude to PLYDO for the opportunity, and to fellow organizations for the spirit of camaraderie and shared purpose. With this achievement, the organization reaffirms its commitment to making theater not just a stage for performance, but a stage for change, dialogue, and empowerment.
