Art Truly Prevails.
Few days earlier, the struggle to cross the boundary from Davao to Tagum City due to the heavy flooding came to us and halted momentarily our goal to share the culture of the Batangas City.
Today, our plan was supposed to showcase the dances of Batangas and celebrate the National Arts Month through PASINAYA. However, God made a bigger mission and that is for us to perform in evacuation centers due to the flood calamity.
To the Tagumeños, we hope our dances somehow lessened the grief and sadness that you are feeling right now. Through our performance, we hope we touched your hearts and made your days a little brighter. With your smiles and warm greetings, truly you are the City of Harmony.
On another light, we extend our greatest gratitude to the Cultural Center of the Philippines and its Cultural Exchange Department headed by Ms. Chinggay Bernardo for bringing us to Tagum having us to be a part of the PASINAYA 2024. We hope we made you proud by showing the exquisite and unique culture of our City.
To the Batangas City Government, Mayor Beverley Rose Dimacuha, Congressman Marvey Mariño, and Atty. RD Dimacuha, thank you always for your undying support and love towards our endeavors.
To our school, Marian Learning Center and Science High School Inc. headed by our beloved president Maam Vilma Dimacuha, thank you for always being there with us along the way.
To everyone that we met in this Multi-Arts Festival, thank you for giving us the experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Surely, arts connect everyone—no matter where they are, no matter who they are.
Thank you for being with us in this celebration of arts!
