Over the past two weeks, around 50 aspiring singers answered the call, stepped out of their comfort zones, and shared their voices with us. We are deeply grateful to everyone who auditioned and became part of this year's search for the newest members of the 𝗠𝗠𝗦𝗨 𝗡𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗱𝗶 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗲.

After a rigorous screening process, careful deliberation, and comprehensive evaluation by the Artistic Staff, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | In celebration of 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐨 𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 (Philippine Music Week), the MMSU Nasudi Chorale proudly offers 𝓐𝓶𝓪𝓶𝓲—a heartfelt prayer sung in the Ilocano language for every Filipino.

𝓐𝓶𝓪𝓶𝓲 is the traditional Ilocano text of "The Lord's Prayer". It is arranged by 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙡 𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙖 𝘾𝙧𝙪𝙯 𝙎𝙖𝙣 𝙈𝙞𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙡 of Malolos, Bulacan, an emerging Filipino composer, arranger, sound producer, and member of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, as the Ilocano counterpart of his acclaimed "Ama Namin", based on Matthew 6:9–13 and Luke 11:2–4 from the Holy Scriptures.

Through this premiere performance by the MMSU Nasudi Chorale, listeners—especially the Ilocano community—are invited to experience this timeless prayer from a renewed musical perspective: a heartfelt plea for peace, comfort, resilience, and hope.

As our nation continues to face natural disasters, uncertainty, division, and challenges that test our people and institutions, may this sacred prayer remind us that faith, compassion, and unity remain our greatest sources of strength. We pray for wisdom for our leaders, healing for the suffering, protection for every family, and hope for generations to come.

May this offering transcend the concert stage and become a collective prayer for our beloved country.

Ipinagmamalaki ng MMSU Nasudi Chorale na maging kabahagi sa pagpapanatili at pagpapayabong ng musikang Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng pag-awit ng mga likha ng ating mga kompositor at sa pagbabahagi ng ating sining sa loob at labas ng bansa. Today, we proudly join the nation in celebrating 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲—a tribute to the transformative power of choral music and to the enduring legacy of National Artist 𝑨𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒂 𝑶. 𝑽𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒐𝒏, whose vision continues to inspire generations of Filipino choristers.

This celebration holds an even deeper meaning for us. Two years ago today, the MMSU Nasudi Chorale took its most ambitious stride as we embarked on our journey to represent the Philippines at the prestigious World Choir Games. The MMSU Nasudi Chorale is welcoming a new batch of singers who are eager to learn, perform, and grow through choral music. Join us as we prepare for performances, competitions, and musical engagements both within the community and beyond.

𝐖𝐇𝐎 𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐔𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍?

🎼 Bona fide MMSU students and MMSU alumni aged 15–35 years old
🎼 Passionate about singing and willing to undergo choral training
🎼 Available for rehearsals at 5:00 PM, 2–3 times per week
🎼 Choral experience is an advantage but not required
🎼 Of good moral character and professional conduct

🎵 Prepare two (2) a ca****la songs (up to the first chorus only):
• One (1) in English
• One (1) in Filipino
