PALAWOD FESTIVAL 2026 RECAP 🌊✨

Daw kakyop lang, gipaabot pa naton ang pagbalik sang Palawod…
Sara, gihinumduman na naton ang tanan nga ngisi, singgit, sayaw, ulan, init, kakapoy, kag kalipay nga nagpatinod nga Palawod is truly back.

From the first beat of the drums to the last sparkle in the sky, Palawod reminded us of who we are — Lumad Bantayanon nga may pagtoo, may kultura, may kasingkasing, kag may garbo nga dili basta-basta mapalong.

Bisan nag-uwan, padayon ang sayaw.
Bisan kapoy, padayon ang ngisi.
Bisan basa, padayon ang shagit.
Kay kung Bantayanon ka, kahibaho ka: ang kalipay sa Palawod, dili mapugngan sang panahon. 🌧️🔥

We saw the streets come alive.
We heard the huni of our musicians.
We felt the heartbeat of our mananagat.
We witnessed every barangay, every cluster, every dancer, every supporter, and every Bantayanon become part of one beautiful story.

Nakabalik na gayud ang Palawod.
And it came back not only as a festival, but as a reminder of our roots, our faith, our sea, our people, and our identity.

This was not just a comeback.
This was Bantayan remembering itself.
This was culture dancing again.
This was home saying, “ari ko, buhi pa ko, padayon pa ko.”

From the streets to the grand stage, BTS captured the heart of Palawod with their winning performance filled with thanksgiving, culture, artistry, rhythm, and the proud spirit of the Poblacion.

Tonight, they return to the stage for a repeat performance — a celebration of victory, hard work, unity, and the true meaning of Hugpong sa Mapasalamatong Taga Poblacion.

Congratulations once again to Binaobao, Ticad, and Suba, and to everyone behind this champion contingent.

The final wave of the Grand Ritual Showdown brought its own rhythm, color, and Bantayanon soul!

Earlier at the Palawod Festival 2026 Grand Ritual Showdown, the BAISILMO Cluster proudly represented Baigad, Sillon, and Mojon with a performance filled with energy, culture, and heartfelt storytelling.

Through every movement and every ritual expression, Contingent No. 7 celebrated the life of the Bantayanon mananagat, the blessings of the lawod, and the strong identity of a community united by faith, heritage, and love for Palawod.

Guided by the creative vision of Ronnel P. Arcenas, BAISILMO gave the audience a meaningful close to the series of ritual performances — one that carried pride, passion, and the true festive spirit of Bantayan.
