Pantawan Pantawan Art and Learning

Pantawan is a Visayan/Cebuano word meaning “a place where one can see outside”.

It is a word coined from two other words ‘para,’ and ‘tan-aw,’ meaning ‘for,’ and ‘seeing.’ The Pantawan Art and Learning Center is located on an island off of Bais City, Negros Oriental, Philippines overlooking Bais Bay on the Tanon Strait. We believe that the beauty that surrounds it is embodied through art as expressions of the dreams of the people who experience life among the surroundings. Pa

ntawan offers the community, especially the underserved and disadvantaged, a view of life’s possibilities as they imagine the best way to live and love. Fundraising events will be held to prepare for free art workshops and events. We offer programs to elevate the local culture and increase contact with global peoples through the arts. We also welcome educational exchanges on culture and environmental topics, urban development and promotions of indigenous knowledge, intelligence and worldviews.
