A little piece of Wright Park Hotel is now ready to go home with our little guests. Meet our Wright Park Hotel Pony crocheted stuffed toys, handcrafted to be a sweet keepsake of a wonderful stay in Baguio specifically in Wright Park Hotel.

Each pony is lovingly made by Aike, our local artisan and working student, who creates these pieces to help support his education and build a livelihood through his craft.

THE CALLING

The Calling brings together a vintage planer and an 1800s lamp stand, two pieces that once served very different purposes, now given a new life as an elegant calling card holder. What was once part of another era now finds its place in the modern office, becoming both a functional object and a striking conversation piece.

This is a depiction of Filipino creativity, the ability to look at what has been left behind and see not an ending, but a possibility. To preserve the character of the past while giving it a new purpose. Every mark, curve, and patina remains a quiet reminder of where these objects came from, while their transformation speaks of imagination that knows no limits.

Every Sunday, we pause for a little moment of gratitude, to listen to the words our guests leave behind and to celebrate the people and stories that make Made Here what it is.

This week, we received such a beautiful note from Ms. Maricel, who shared:
“I love each and every item in the store that was carefully curated. Each item is special, handcrafted with love & intention.”

Words like these mean so much to us. Behind every piece at Made Here is an artisan, a story, a pair of hands, and a whole lot of heart. Knowing that these creations are seen, appreciated, and loved by our guests reminds us why we continue to champion local craftsmanship.

PNKY Collection - Relicarios Tamborin

This PNKY 12K Yellow Gold Relicarios Tamborin pays homage to the traditional Filipino tamborin, a necklace inspired by the rosary and cherished historically as heirloom jewelry. Its name is associated with the delicate, rounded filigree beads and the relicario, a pendant traditionally created to hold a sacred relic or devotional image.

Its delicate chain is adorned with heritage gold beads dating from the 1500s through the 1950s, each carrying the character of the era from which it came. Among them are the distinctive florecitas, balimbing or piña, and granada (pomegranate) bead forms, nature-inspired motifs documented in Philippine heritage jewelry, particularly during the Spanish colonial period.

Once treasured as heirlooms and passed from one generation to the next, authentic gold tamborins have become increasingly rare, making this tradition all the more precious to preserve.

Timbangan ng Liwanag

Created by the Made Here Creatives for the Circular Community Exhibit, this one-of-a-kind piece brings together vintage and well-loved objects that once belonged to our everyday lives, a food strainer, an antique weighing scale, and pieces of the past, reimagined into something entirely new.

More than a functional piece, it carries stories of another time. It reminds us of the things we once saw, used, and perhaps took for granted, now given a second life as a work of art. In its transformation, we are reminded that creativity does not always mean creating something from nothing; sometimes, it means seeing beauty and possibility in what already exists.

Going once…Going twice… SOLD!

And just like that, “Tag Alonglong” by Bumbo Villanueva has found a new home.

One of the remarkable works featured at Made Here Artisans Studio, Tag Alonglong is a sculpture composed of seven brass figures moving together in Pat-ong, the traditional Cordilleran dance.

There is something particularly special about this piece. Its name carries a reference to Longlong, Bumbo’s home in Baguio, making the work a celebration not only of Cordilleran movement and tradition, but of the place and stories that have shaped the artist himself.

This week, the piece was acquired by a private collector from Makati for a seven figure sum.
We couldn't be happier not simply because a million-peso work was sold, but because it represents something we deeply believe in at Made Here:
Art made here deserves to be seen, collected, and celebrated anywhere. Our little studio in Baguio is becoming a place where collectors can discover artists with something meaningful to say and where artists can find a haven that believes in the value of their work.

For Bumbo, this is another chapter in the journey of Tag Alonglong. For us, it is a reminder of why we built Made Here in the first place.

To bring remarkable works from the Cordillera a little closer to the people who are looking for them.
