Rooted in Darkness delves into the complex and evocative world of Goth aesthetics—a space where beauty and darkness coexist, and where the emotional terrain of melancholy, romance, rebellion, and introspection is laid bare. Drawing on the cultural legacy of gothic literature, fashion, music, and subculture, this exhibit features works that embrace shadow as a form of illumination. Through a blend of visual art, sculpture, and multimedia, the collection celebrates the richness of the Goth tradition—not as a costume, but as a lens through which we confront the sublime, the tragic, and the beautiful decay of all things.
Each piece in the exhibit challenges the viewer to explore the duality of life and death, light and darkness, fragility and strength. In doing so, Rooted in Darkness, invites you to step into a world where the eerie becomes elegant and the morose becomes meaningful.
