Mula sa Dulaang UP Baguio at Paggawisan Tako Am-In, taos-puso kaming nagpapasalamat sa mga nanood ng 𝙆𝙖𝙪𝙗-𝙊𝙛𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙞𝙟𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙐𝙩𝙖𝙝! Tunay ngang hindi hadlang ang masamang panahon sa alab ng makabuluhang pagsalaysay ng kuwento ng ating mga kailian sa Balbalan, Kalinga. 🌄

Inihahandog ng Dulaang UP Baguio at Paggawisan Tako Am-In (PAGTA) ang “𝙆𝙖𝙪𝙗-𝙤𝙛𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙞𝙟𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙐𝙩𝙖𝙝,” isang makabuluhang pagtatanghal ng kwentong pambata ni awtor-ilustrador Danielle V. Florendo, sa direksyon nina Markneel Balgos at Eirene June Taclobao. 🌄

Halina't makisama na rin sa mga performances mula sa Literati, Tinig Amianan, SET-UP, at mga faculty and staff ng UP Baguio! Magkakaroon din ng mga open mic performances kung gusto mo namang sumama sa tanghalan at jamming!

Inihahandog ng Dulaang UP Baguio, katuwang ang Paggawisan Tako Am-In (PAGTA Official) at sa pakikipagtulungan ng UPB Committee on Culture and the Arts at UPB Kasarian Gender Studies Program ang “𝙆𝙖𝙪𝙗-𝙤𝙛𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙞𝙟𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙐𝙩𝙖𝙝” (Ang Alamat ng Kuweba ng Utah), isang adaptasyong pang-entablado mula sa aklat pambata ni Danielle Florendo na nilikha kasama ang komunidad ng Balbalan, Kalinga. 🌿

Isasalaysay nito ang kuwento ng batang si D**glajenan mula sa Salogsog at at ang pagtatagpo nila ni Kabungian na hango sa isang bersiyon ng alamat ng Kuweba ng Utah. Bibigyang-buhay sa entablado ang mga sayaw at elementong kultural ng komunidad bilang pagdakila sa ating katutubong pamana at mga kuwentong-bayan. Makakasama sa pagtatanghal ang piling mga mag-aaral, g**o, at katuwang na mga artista at manggagawang pangkultura ng Unibersidad ng Pilipinas Baguio.

The DUPB Upcoming Production is currently looking for already used papers/newspapers, plastic bottles, and other recyclable materials to be used for the sustainable props and set design of the production.

Your donations will be put into good use and would help the production in bringing the story to life.

This March 2026, the Dulaang UP Baguio will bring life to Ms. Danielle Florendo's recently published children's storybook, "Kaub-ofuden Shin Lijang Utah" (The Legend of Utah Cave), with a stage production in partnership with PAGTA-UPB.

With this, DUPB is looking for aspiring actors and production staff to partake in bringing the story on stage.

The following cast descriptions are what we're looking for the upcoming open auditions:

MATANDANG BABAE - Nirerespeto siya sa kanyang komunidad at laging pinakikinggan ng mga bata. Malumanay ang kanyang tindig, ngunit ay mayroong maawtoridad na awra sa kabila ng maamo niyang mukha.
BINATA 1 - Masipag, ma-respeto sa pamilya at sa kalikasan.
BINATA 2 - Malaki ang presensya at malakas ang boses, ngunit makulit rin ang personalidad.
BATANG BABAE - 6-7 anyos; maligalig, mausisa, pala-tanong.

For cast auditions, prepare a (30-60 seconds) monologue performance. The monologue should be appropriate to the character you want to audition for. The monologue does not necessarily come from the book.

*Please note that you are not required to have read the story book prior to your audition/interview*

The production is also looking for people to make up the production staff who will assist in the following:
-Production management
-Creatives
-Marketing/partnerships
-Production design
-Tech
