BEBSAT CULTURAL PERFORMERS

Bebsat Cultural Performers is a local socio cultural group based in Baguio City that had a humble beginning which started in the year 2006, back then named SHALOM Cultural Group. The group was then renamed in 2010 to BEBSAT, from the ethnolinguistic term “besat” which means brother or sister, and also relates to the sisterhood and brotherhood of the group. The group aims to keep the Cordilleran dances and chants alive in different performances and also to deliver informative entertainment. Now as a part of cultural bearers, they continue to educate and share the rich culture of Cordillera with the younger generation.

BEBSAT CULTURAL PERFORMERS will be performing this October 8 at Melvin Jones in celebration of Baguio Gong Festival 2023, with the theme, “Honing Indigenous Knowledge for Cultural Integrity.”
