As we welcome the New Year, the UC Chorale extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who supported and journeyed with us throughout the past year. Every rehearsal, performance, and event was made successful through the collective effort, dedication, and encouragement of many.

We express our deepest appreciation to the Center for Creative Productions, under the leadership of Dr. Peejay Natiola. Thank you for your steadfast support, guidance, and commitment to advancing creative and cultural expression.

We are likewise sincerely grateful to the University administrators and staff, whose guidance, assistance, and tireless behind-the-scenes efforts were instrumental in the successful implementation of our activities and performances.

Our heartfelt thanks are also extended to the parents and guardians of our members, whose constant encouragement, understanding, and support make it possible for our singers to pursue their musical aspirations while upholding their academic responsibilities.

Thank you to everyone who filled the UC Auditorium with warmth, support, and open hearts.

𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐎 was more than a concert - it was a heartfelt message, a night of giving back, and a celebration of every blessing that carried us to the stage. Its meaning grew tenfold because you were there with us.

To the parents and guardians of our members — thank you for your patience, sacrifices, and unwavering support, even through demanding rehearsals that often stretched late into the night.

To the University of the Cordilleras Administration and the UC Center for Creative Productions under the leadership of Dr. Peejay Natiola — thank you for standing firmly behind us in this milestone, our first-ever international competition.

AOVICF 2025 Official Participating Choir ✨

University of the Cordilleras Chorale
Baguio City, Philippines 🇵🇭

The University of the Cordilleras Chorale (UC Chorale) is the official vocal ensemble of the University of the Cordilleras, under the UC Center for Creative Productions. With roots tracing back to the Baguio Colleges Glee Club of the 1950s, the group has long been part of the region’s musical heritage. Reorganized in 2008, the ensemble has since evolved into a disciplined and versatile choral group performing a ca****la and accompanied works across folk, sacred, jazz, Broadway, classical, and contemporary genres.

Known for their expressive musicality, the UC Chorale has participated in numerous regional and national festivals, consistently representing the university with pride and cultural depth. Their journey from historical acclaim such as winning the Grand National Award at the 1975 Himig ng Lahi Choral Festival to their present-day achievements reflects a commitment to excellence and artistry.

The ensemble is led by Walter Mang-usan, who, despite having no formal music education, brings decades of experience and a deep passion for choral music. A self-taught musician whose journey began in childhood, he has shaped the UC Chorale through dedication and hands-on leadership, guiding the group to become a beacon of choral artistry in Northern Luzon.
