Ton Muรฑoz (b. 1986) is a self-taught artist from La Trinidad, Benguet. He skillfully balances a demanding corporate career with a profound dedication to the visual arts, finding that each world informs the other. For Ton, art is a vital form of storytelling, capturing the nuances of everyday life and culture. His dynamic artistic journey is marked by a passionate exploration of diverse mediums and styles, ranging from contemporary modernism and vibrant abstracts to evocative landscapes and sculpture. Inspired by Japanese flower arrangements, this piece was
created to capture a sense of peace, softness, and quiet healing. The lotus flowers symbolize growth and resilience; a reminder that beautiful things can still bloom even after difficult seasons. The butterflies represent change, freedom, and becoming who you are meant to be. Against the dark background with subtle gold glitters and gold accents, the flowers almost glow softly, creating a dreamy and emotional atmosphere. I wanted this artwork to feel comforting, like finding light, beauty, and calm in the middle of
chaos.
