Grateful to have shot the music video of Puguis Elementary School DLC for the Panagbenga Unity Dance, in celebration of the festival’s 30th anniversary and inspired by this year’s theme, “Blooming Without End.”

The timeline was tight and the process was rushed, ngem no problem ta ayayaten kayu ti adu adu💋.

☀️𝘼 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙤𝙨 | 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨 𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙮 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙚 2025👑

How Did You Spend Your Summer?
As for me, I spent it creating. Pageants filled my summer, and these are the kinds of moments na talagang uuwi ako from Baguio para lang magawa. Nakakapagod, yes, but it’s the kind of tired that makes you happy.

Thank you to Ate Mishel Aydinan and Hon. Alfredo Dumingyay Jr., for once again trusting Artara. Every time I get to contribute, I learn so much more. It’s not always easy, but I really enjoy doing this, and creating genuinely makes me happy. There’s really something special when you get to do what you love.

Of course, I also set up the photoshoot. Weeks before, I already had the vision in mind. I really enjoyed photographing the gorgeous candidates. There’s this unique joy when you finally see the shots and realize you made your vision come to life.🧚🏼‍♀️

I also designed the logos for both the summer league and the pageant. Being extra, I had to make sure the logos matched the overall aesthetic. They appeared on the sashes, the photos, the videos. I wanted the designs to feel simple but still detailed, with those little touches that tie everything together.

For the choreography, I trained the ladies for just one and a half days. They also had to prepare for other parts of the competition, so singit-singit ang editing and uploading. I worked backstage to help manage the flow of the event and I also handled the music. I made sure there were no awkward silences and that the timing was just right. It has to flow perfectly. Small details, but they really matter.

When you put everything together, grabe pala. It’s a lot, but it’s the kind of work that’s so fulfilling and worth it. These are the kinds of beginnings I know I’ll proudly look back on and share in the future.✨

Thank you to everyone who became part of this journey—candidates, committees, supporters,🐡, friends, and to the reigning queens—each of you made it all worthwhile. Nakakapagod, but it’s the kind of tired I’d always choose.🌱

ᴹᵃʳᶜʰ ²⁷, ²⁰²⁵

Meet Marigold—our original character and one I had the joy of cosplaying. Brought to life with paper and a whole lot of love. I made her corset, inner top, boots, and inner skirt. Louisa built the prosthetic arm, Ferlin and MJ crafted the outer skirt, Diana made the hat, and Angel did the makeup.

This came right after my Ren Fair look and just before the pageant choreo—an early, hands-on start to a summer full of creating.

Spent part of my break doing something I’ve always quietly dreamed of—𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 and 𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 for 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨 𝘿𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙤 2025.

Having been on the pageant stage before, it felt full circle to now guide movements and capture moments behind the scenes. As Artara, it’s a new way to be part of a world I’ve always admired.

Big thanks to the one and only Hon. Alfredo Dumingyay Jr.—for the trust, the opportunity, and for seeing something in me. Grateful for every chance like this. And one thing’s for sure, it certainly won’t be the last.

✨𝙎𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚👠

In the second week of April, I had the chance to choreograph the production number and stage movements for Mr. & Ms. CITCS 2025. It was my second time doing something like this, and it meant more to me than I expected. I didn’t realize how much I missed dancing, teaching, and just being involved in that kind of creative energy.

There’s something about the pageant stage that still pulls me in—but this time, I found comfort in being behind the scenes, shaping the flow, guiding the performers, and watching it all come to life.

Even as I focus on the digital side of art now, a part of me will always ache for the performance world. This experience reminded me that passion doesn’t go away—it waits for moments like this to resurface.
