Today, we finally visited the Home for the Aged in Silay and spent time with the Silaynon and Negrense lolas we dearly love.
Seeing their situation was both humbling and heartbreaking. From their daily necessities to the condition of their shelter, they continue to rely greatly on the kindness and generosity of donors. Despite the challenges they face, their smiles, stories, and warmth reminded us of the strength and resilience they carry every day.
We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to share even a small amount of help, love, and companionship with them. Sometimes, the simplest acts of kindness can mean so much.
Joining me in this meaningful visit were our Lin-ay sang Negros 2025, Jada Biaxyl Celeste, Lin-ay Coordinator Stephanie Sorbito, and You Matter Co-Founder Justin Ray Cuachon.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mary Angelique Caballero, Miss Bacolod MassKara 2025 2nd Runner-Up, for her generosity and support in making this initiative possible.
May we continue to remember and care for our elders, not only through donations but also through our presence, time, and love.

Because our lolas matter too. Every lola deserves to be remembered, valued, and loved.
