The people of Canlaon City continue to face the effects of Mt. Kanlaon’s volcanic activity, now further compounded by the impact of Typhoon Inday. These consecutive disasters have displaced families, disrupted livelihoods, and left many in urgent need of support.

In response, You Matter Organization, in partnership with Lin-ay Sang Negros, is launching a 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 to provide immediate relief to affected families.

This July 18, 2026, we invite everyone to join A Thousand Tree Movement in Don Salvador Benedicto—a community-led tree-growing initiative that aims to contribute to the protection and restoration of our forests.

The Negros Occidental Provincial Government has already restored 110 hectares of degraded forestland within the Northern Negros Natural Park (NNNP) through its community-based reforestation and watershed conservation program. It reminds us that when communities come together, meaningful environmental change is possible.

Whether you’re a volunteer, an advocate, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, you matter. 🌿

If you’re unable to join us on-site, you can still support this movement through sponsorships and donations, which will help provide:
* Tree seedlings
* Transportation for volunteers
* Meals and snacks
* Planting materials and logistics
