Yesterday, the Grade 10 – Special Program in the Arts (SPA) students proudly showcased the culmination of their four-year journey through their recital entitled “Ang Bituon sa Katubuhan.”

This performance was the result of countless sleepless nights, unwavering determination, and the passion that each student poured into their craft. Every scene, movement, note, and artwork reflected the dedication, sweat, and heart they invested throughout their years in the SPA program.

This meaningful event became a success through the support and guidance of our school leaders and mentors:

A Powerful Beginning for National Arts Month 2026!

The NOHS SPA & SPS Department proudly opened National Arts Month with the theme “Ani ng Sining: Katotohanan at Giting.”

Witnessed by fellow NOHSians, the ceremony was honored by the presence of Principal IV Ma’am Cheryl J. Tondo, SPTA President Sir Philbert Dela Cruz, department heads, SPA & SPS Department Head Ma’am Hayde Portal, and our dedicated teachers.

The celebration ignited with a dynamic Arnis performance by SPS, followed by a vibrant SPA Variety Show — a true harvest of talent, truth, and courage on stage.

Yesterday marks not just an opening, but a commitment:
that art will continue to speak, move, and inspire our community.

Your journey as the official representative of the Region, bringing honor to Negros Occidental High School and the Province of Negros Occidental, at the NAMCYA 2025 held last November 18–23, 2025 at the Metropolitan Theatre, is already a victory in itself.

Under the masterful leadership of Conductress Ma’am Dawn V. Gonzales and the dedicated assistant trainor Sir Pio Talaman, our young musicians showcased artistry, discipline, and the true heart of Negrense talent.
