Due to unprecedented turn of events and the ambiguity of the transparency of the organizers in setting rules and guidelines during the registration process, my team has “REJECTED” from the tournament because of the bias of the organizers.
I truly appreciates the efforts and advocacy of the organizers and their team in setting up a premier-like tournament to all aspiring semi-amatuer teams all over Roxas City which is free of charge with no registration fee with a very decent prize pool. However, as the league progressed further making its relevance to the ML community, there were these concerns that were not addressed out properly by the organizers that some registrants overlooked, ignored and neglected especially to those who were not affected, or perhaps benefitted during such registration process.
These discrepancies were too alarming and inappropriate to such extent some participating teams felt disrespected, not acknowledged, and worst disallowed to raise concerns and relevant matters.
With their actions implying, "Our tournament, our rules", Bloodline Resistance Esports made criteria in their rules and registration process.
Why will registrations would be selective and that will ultimately favor others? Are they trying to hook their favorites, associates, and the like into a more comfortable and favorable spot?
As the organizers rejecting my concerns, a blanket authority was laid unto the part telling them to follow the registration process. I, as much as possible, are one of the obedient team manager in the tournaments but when it comes to forced and questionable requirements just to favor other teams and redirect the standards not aligned anymore to WHAT SHOULD BE PROPER, then I do not tolerate such abuse of power and authority.
20 teams who were registered and others was given VIP PASS and those teams are selected and didn’t also provide the correct process of registration standards. As prior with the requirements needed it should be “NATIONAL ID AND BIRTH CERTIFICATE” How about other government ID’s is it invalid or fake? then you can verify in the government agencies, as stated in the guidelines must be a bonafide residents of Roxas City as per Republic Act No. 8190 also known as localization law, my teams is qualified on the said eligibility.
Those teams who registered early were rejected also in short registration was selected depend on the mood of the organizers. The bias action therefore showed favoritism abreast authority.
What are the criteria to be able to be classified as registered teams? Did they set such rubrics to identify other teams? Or was it simply to whosoever gives the call, grants them ties, and offers them support?
Nevertheless, who will question the overruling made during the registration process when in fact these teams have benefitted with what had happened?
To end this statement, my team still has integrity and that come from improper actions will ever take it away. We will always keep the values intact as we interact in the ML community. The respect we had given is the respect echoed back to us. Respect begets respect.
To those teams still participating in the league, I am not encouraging you to drop down and be with our advocacy, but please bear in mind that you are playing in a tournament who can simply flip you back and will flip you real hard. All the best of luck to your matches.
This statement is also to clarify and orient our followers and supporters to what had happened because we owe it to them. We do not wish to make ill remarks, but we only wish for fairness, upright decision making, and proper handling of teams. It may be a FREE TOURNAMENT but it does not mean the organizers are FREE to disrespect and trample us our rights to a fair and clean competition.
