brings you an intimate recital of Romantic songs, with IONA VENTOCILLA-BORJA, CARLO FALCIS, MYRAMAE MENESES, and OLIVER SALONGA at the piano.

Through the gentle joy and quiet pain of Robert Schumann’s FRAUENLIEBE UND LEBEN and DICHTERLIEBE, and the warm, glowing songs of Franz Liszt’s TRE SONETTI DI PETRARCA, love is told in many ways—first love, deep longing, loss, and hope.

Amazing voices at the masterclass yesterday at the University of the Cordilleras - 17-YEAR OLD BARITONES KHANE LAUNIO and ANDREI MOYNIHAN (so rare and sounds like they're for real! Maybe it's the cold weather in Baguio? 😍🙏😃), LYRIC SOPRANOS SHIRLEY BOGNOT and ROCHELLE MALAFU (with sweet soaring voices clear as bells) and A DRAMATIC SOPRANO in the making , ELIZABETH HERMOSO, (with a resonance in the voice reminiscent of diva Leontyne PRICE 😘). BRAVI TUTTI!!!

What a privilege to have worked with you all - hopefully not for the last time. Wishing you all the best and looking forward to your performances!!!

The Cultural Center of the Philippines, in cooperation with Viva Voce Voice Lab, University of Cordilleras, University of Baguio, and Guacamole Productions, brings you Puccini’s LA BOHÈME.

Directed by Alexander C. Cortez and musical direction by Camille Lopez Molina. This event is part of the second phase of Progetto Puccini, a nationwide initiative for opera education.
