The Kinaadman Center for Culture and the Arts of Colegio San Agustin–Bacolod stands as a beacon of creativity, heritage, and transformation. Rooted in the Visayan word kinaadman—meaning wisdom, skill, talent, and ability—the Center embodies the belief that artistic excellence is cultivated through rigorous training, experience, and values-driven practice. Guided by its vision of producing exceptio
nally creative artist-leaders who preserve and develop Negrense cultural heritage, it champions the role of the arts in social transformation and nation building. Its mission is to nurture Negrense youth artists-leaders through Augustinian values, arts for development, and culture-based outputs. More than a facility, Kinaadman is a dynamic hub where visual, performing, and literary arts converge, offering platforms for education, expression, and community engagement. It is composed of four performing arts groups: the Kanlaon Theater Guild, Kagayon Dance Troupe, Kalinaw Chorale, and KamiGhon Band. Beyond performance, the Center safeguards heritage through language preservation, historical exhibits, and cultural research, while innovating traditions for contemporary relevance. It builds bridges globally by establishing artistic networks, while locally it strengthens community ties through art fairs, festivals, and public art projects. Educational outreach, scholarships, and partnerships ensure that arts education remains accessible and transformative. With initiatives spanning residencies, digital campaigns, and museum collaborations, the Kinaadman Center affirms its role as a cultural hub—celebrating Negrense identity, inspiring creativity, and cultivating leaders who embody truth, beauty, and goodness.
