The Department of Tourism Region V stages the fourth leg of SIRAM Pagkaon Bikolnon: Flavorful Foods of Bicol, featuring the culinary heritage of Camarines Sur. This phase will officially begin with a Food Mapping Workshop on June 18–20, 2026, at the Summit Hotel, Naga City.

More than just documenting recipes, this workshop aims to capture the heartfelt stories and generations of love cooked into every local dish, ensuring the comforting taste of a Camarines Sur home reaches the hearts of many.

MABUHAY!

The Baao Children and Youth Choir in their rendition of “Kruhay” during LGU Baao’s Commemoration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day. 🇵🇭
“Kruhay” is a Kinaray-a word native to Panay Island meaning “Long live!” a cheer and toast or a celebratory exclamation.

They will now carry Baao’s name to the world stage at the Taipei International Chorale Competition in Taiwan, July 27 to August 2, 2026. With the full and heartfelt support of LGU Baao, Mayor Hon. Jeff Besinio, and every Baaoeño who believes in our youth.

Sa pakikiisa ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Baao sa paggunita ng ika-128 na taon ng Philippine Independence Day 2026 na may temang "Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.", matagumpay na idinaos ang isang makahulugan at makabayang selebrasyon ngayong araw.

Dinaluhan ito ng ating mga opisyal at empleyado ng Lokal na Pamahalaan, mga bisita mula sa DepEd Baao District, mga kinatawan ng National Government Agencies, at iba pang panauhin na nagbigay ng kulay at diwa sa pagdiriwang.

Binigyan rin ng kulay ang selebrasyon sa pamamagitan ng espesyal na pagtatanghal ng mga internasyonal na nagwagi na Baao Children and Youth Choir, kasama ang mga School Heads mula sa DepEd na nagpamalas ng kanilang talento at pagmamahal sa bayan sa pamamagitan ng awitin.

“Ang kalayaan na ating ginugunita ngayon ay hindi lamang alaala ng nakaraan. Ito ay hamon para sa kasalukuyan at pangako para sa kinabukasan. Sa bawat Baaoeño, kabataan, g**o, empleyado, at mamamayan, tayo ang tunay na tagapagmana ng laban ng ating mga bayani. Ipagpatuloy natin ang kanilang sakripisyo sa pamamagitan ng tapat na paglilingkod, disiplina, at pagmamahal sa Baao.”
