Former Tagapangulo, Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino

Dr. Arthur P. Casanova is a highly respected educator, linguist, author, and cultural advocate whose contributions have significantly enriched Philippine language and arts. He has authored more than 40 books, including widely recognized childrenโ€™s literature that has shaped young minds and promoted language appreciation.

Beyond literature, Dr. Casanova is an accomplished theater artist and director, having worked on over 50 stage productions and facilitated numerous acting workshops for both students and educators. His work bridges language, performance, and education. Ensuring that culture remains alive, relevant, and accessible.

In recognition of his invaluable contributions, he has received numerous prestigious honors from institutions such as the Manila Critics Circle and the National Development Board Authority (NBDB), the Catholic Mass Media Award (CMMA), and the Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipino Award.

A proud son of San Jose de Buenavista, Antique, Dr. Casanova was awarded the Bugรกl kang Antique Award for Education in 2007, honoring his lifelong dedication to advancing education and preserving cultural heritage.

His presence at Karay-ACon 2026 stands as an inspiration to continue protecting, promoting, and passing on our linguistic and cultural legacy to future generations.

In proud partnership with the Boy Scouts of the Philippines โ€“ Antique Council, we present a meaningful and empowering session on Merit Badge Counselling for Interpreting and Citizenship Merit Badges. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญโšœ๏ธ
