A Heart Caught in Between
In the quiet of the classroom’s air,
He found her sitting softly there,
Eyes that held a world untold,
A heart recovering, bruised and cold.
She smiled at him, a fragile light,
A beacon in his longing night.
Though past pains kept her heart confined,
Her words assured, "In time you'll find."
He held that hope, both strong and weak,
A silent promise lovers seek.
Each glance, each word, a deeper dive,
Her presence made his spirit thrive.
Weeks turned to months, their bond grew strong,
Moments sweet, where none went wrong.
Yet shadows crept in love’s embrace,
As doubt began to show its face.
She spoke to others, laughed with ease,
While he stood still, heart ill at peace.
Jealous whispers filled his mind,
Longing for what he couldn't bind.
"I see you drift," he dared to say,
"Why does your gaze seem far away?"
"They're just my friends," she softly spoke,
But in his heart, the silence broke.
Should he hold on or set her free?
Love tangled in uncertainty.
Her past, his longing, worlds collide,
In a love that fate cannot decide.
A tale of hearts both near and far,
Two souls caught beneath one star.
Will love survive or fade to grey?
Only time will choose their way.
