Ang wala na lang… BAND NAME. 🤣

Here’s another run-through of “STAY”, an original song written by their very own bassist, Bojie. They wanted to record and release this one… kaso baka mauna pang mag-retire ang mga tuhod nila. 😂

So habang may energy pa, habang gumagana pa ang mga joints, at habang hindi pa sila tinatawag ng maintenance meds…

Now accepting suggestions for a band name.
Preferably something that sounds cool enough for Spotify but believable enough for four titos. 😎

🎶 “Stay” — an original by Bojie Villanueva

So… we found a song. We like it. We think it deserves to be recorded and released.

There’s just one tiny problem:

Wala pa kaming band name. 😂

For now, we’re just a bunch of musicians in a room trying to make “Stay”, written by our very own bassist Bojie, sound like an actual song and not just “guys, one more take.” 😅

Here’s a little rehearsal take while we figure things out — the arrangement, the sound, the recording… and apparently our identity as a band.

But hey, one thing is clear:

The song is ready to STAY.
The band name? Still under construction. 🤣

🎸🐶 We have a gig. Apparently, the client has four legs.

Currently studying “This Charming Man” by The Smiths for an upcoming very important engagement: a dog’s birthday party. 😂

Yes, we are taking this seriously. There are charts. There are instruments. There is intense concentration. There may even be musical disagreements.

All this… because someone's good boy/girl deserves a proper soundtrack for their special day. 🐕🎂🎶

“This Charming Man” was released in 1983 and became one of The Smiths’ signature songs, with Johnny Marr’s jangly guitar work and Morrissey’s unmistakable vocals. A deceptively breezy song that somehow feels like the perfect choice for a room full of musicians trying to remember all the parts. 😅

Practice take. Still working on it. The dog has high expectations.

🇵🇭 A little piece of Philippine New Wave history

Before the '90s alternative explosion, before streaming and playlists made music instantly accessible, there was a vibrant underground music scene in the Philippines during the 1980s.

And somewhere in that beautiful era was "The Sign” by The Sequel** — a track that deserves to be remembered among the gems of Pinoy New Wave.

Released around 1988, “The Sign” carries that unmistakable atmosphere of the era: moody, melodic, atmospheric and unmistakably rooted in the New Wave sound that influenced a generation of Filipino musicians and listeners. It later appeared in compilations and archival playlists documenting the Philippine New Wave scene.

For those who were there, songs like this bring back memories of cassette tapes, college radio, underground gigs, dimly lit clubs, homemade mixtapes—and discovering music that somehow felt different from what was playing everywhere else.

And for those who weren't around in the '80s…
