𝗖𝗖𝗔 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗶'𝗶 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲

The City College of Angeles (CCA) delegation held discussions with the Director of the University of Hawai‘i Center for Southeast Asian Studies and the Chair of the School of Pacific and Asian Studies Council to explore potential areas of academic and cultural collaboration.

The discussion focused on possible initiatives to promote Kapampangan culture and language through Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), online academic activities, cultural exchanges, research, and other virtual initiatives.

Both institutions expressed interest in continuing the discussions and identifying appropriate activities that may pave the way for a possible institutional partnership.

SIUALA: Pekamasalang Tala ning CCA Tinig Angeleño

SIUALA: Pekamasalang Tala ning CCA Tinig Angeleño, formerly known as RIS: Required Individual Singing, is a meaningful individual singing initiative of the CCA Tinig Angeleño, spearheaded by its new Conductor, Ms. Marjorie Celis.

This initiative provides every member an opportunity to showcase their vocal artistry, individuality, and passion for Original Pilipino Music (OPM), highlighting songs released and composed from the 1980s through the early 2000s up to 2010—an era filled with timeless melodies and songs that became part of the Filipino musical experience.

More than an individual singing requirement, SIUALA is a celebration of talent, musical heritage, and Filipino identity. It allows the members to rediscover the stories and emotions behind beloved OPM classics while giving new voices the opportunity to breathe life into these songs once again.

The CCA Sayaw Angeleño Dance Troupe proudly presents the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗸𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮.𝟬, a meaningful initiative dedicated to preserving and promoting the richness of Philippine cultural heritage.

Together with our esteemed guest lecturer, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗮 of the Ramon A. Obusan Folkloric Group, let us inspire the next generation to embrace our traditions, celebrate our identity, and become proud cultural ambassadors.

This initiative supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by empowering youth through arts education and safeguarding our cultural heritage.
