This culminating showcase of the senior students’ creative journey brought together teachers, parents, and guests in a warm gathering of support and celebration. Through paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media works, the students shared their exploration of resilience and artistry. Fusing traditional and digital approaches into powerful expressions of labor, faith, family, and survival.

We at Punlaan are grateful to collaborate with them on their exhibition, to their mentors who've guided them, and to their parents whose encouragement made this milestone possible.

This exhibition is not only a requirement fulfilled but a testament to creativity, resilience, and community.

The senior students of 𝗔𝗨𝗣 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 proudly present their Annual Art Exhibit, created as part of the course requisites for the Tradigital Painting class in collaboration with Punlaan Art Space 🎨✨

This exhibition culminates their creative work, featuring a diverse range of paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media works that reflect their artistic exploration through the fusion of traditional and digital approaches.

𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗮𝘁 𝟯:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠. The exhibition will run until March 30, 2026 at Punlaan Art Space, Alitaptap Artist Community, Amadeo, Cavite.

Guests joined in conversations about endurance and tenderness, persistence and surrender, while savoring 𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒚 and steaming cups of 𝒌𝒂𝒑𝒆. Echoing the exhibition’s reminder that what hardens can still soften.

“Walang matigas na tinapay sa mainit na kape.”
A familiar saying—simple, domestic, and quietly philosophical. It reminds us that what hardens can still soften.

This group exhibition of paintings and two-dimensional works reflects on everyday resilience through images of labor, faith, family, mortality, and survival. These works dwell in moments where endurance meets tenderness—where the body carries both strength and fatigue, persistence and surrender.

Filipino resilience is often seen as virtue: patience, adaptability, the ability to endure. Yet resilience carries a double edge. The same force that allows survival can also bind us to cycles and conditions that ask only to be endured. Here, resilience is held not only as strength, but as something that asks to be examined, softened, and reimagined.

What does it mean to create in an age of consequence? MAN MADE reflects on the dual nature of human making— the impulse to build, craft, and imagine, set against the reality of what our hands have also wrought: landscapes scarred, societies divided, and a world reshaped by our will.

Featuring an exhibition of new works by recent : Michael Delmo, Jack de Castro, Benedict Simbulan, Ross Gadiana, Jao Eugene Palaez, Robert Mark Liwanag, and Marc Allan Jose. This exhibition reclaims the handmade as an act of reckoning and resistance, asking whether the labor of creation can still humanize us in a time of digital abstraction and environmental urgency.

Through painting, sculpture, and mixed media, these artists confront material, form, and responsibility. Their works navigate the fragile space between destruction and repair, burden and redemption, inviting us to consider not only what we make, but why we make at all.

Solo Exhibition by Ambassador Uriel Norman Garibay

This collection is a testament to a lifelong creative journey, rekindled with wild and purposeful energy at seventy. From childhood sketches and comic book inspirations to a diplomatic career that required quiet restraint, Garibay’s art has always been a vital sanctuary. Now, in full bloom after retirement and nurtured by the , these works are a courageous birthday gift to himself—and an urgent offering to us all. They are at once a “Feast for the Eyes” in their evocative mastery and a “Fist for the Eyes” in their unflinching confrontation.

Garibay’s canvases translate decades of observed truths into visual commentary, compelling us to witness the social and political realities of the Philippine condition. Pieces like “Kapit Tuko,” “Purloiner,” and “Ganti ng Me-Dusa” are fermented perspectives from a public servant’s gaze, challenging systemic violence, inequality, and historical amnesia. Yet, alongside this potent reckoning are deeply personal meditations on grief, love, and renewal—seen in works like “Dalaw” and “Rising from the Depths”—inspired by human connections forged in his artistic renaissance.
