Thank you to everyone who bought tickets and were present at Saturday Nights Ae Kapole Island Rock Night in support of Midstreets- The Dogura Cause at the Pondo Bar & Bistro.

Thank you Midstreets band for coming all the way from Alotau, taking lead to raise funds for the Maintenance of Dogura Anglican Cathedral.

To all our families, this is a 2 part fundraiser which the second event is confirmed for Saturday 25th of October.

Midstreets - The Dogura Cause Part 1

Saturday 30th August at the Pondo Bar & Bistro, Crown Hotel Port Moresby.

Extracts are happy to be assisting our seniors & one of Milne Bays pioneer contemporary bands who founded the slang “size 28” in hit single composed by lead vocal/guitarist Richard Gele during the 90s.

Their cause is a rural community project in Dogura- an initiative driven by Bass guitarist/ back up vocalist Mr Steven Adarei who is also from Milne Bays north coast.

This is a 2-part fundraising event supported by none other than Agaun’s rockstar Scott Gimot aka G-Smooth and the Extracts of Alotau.

It was nice seeing a good turn out of youths at the last community fun day.

Thank you Kazibuda and your team, for a great show at the last Milne Bay Community Fun Day - Mini Kapole Jam Session. You are an ambassador and role model for our province, through your unique style of music.

We encourage our Milne Bay youths to drop the guns and pick up a guitar and a mic and start to make a positive change in the Community.

It may not be a big change, but as long as we start somewhere.

See you all on Saturday 30th August at Ansini Windhaus Area, for the Ae Kapore Island Jam Session - in support of a Medical Appeal for our wantok Mrs Betty Namuri-Seta.

On that same day, we will have a better version of Milne Bay Night at Pondo Bar & Bistro, Crown Hotel Port Moresby, to support our pioneer Milne Bay musicians, the Midstreets band live in action spearheading a rural community project in Dogura.

This time there will be real live Milne Bay music and Misima songs as well and not cassette or minus one, like the last Milne Bay Night.

During the month of August wONEm Direction in conjunction with the Milne Bay Community Association Incorporated and Extracts of Alotau will be assisting a series of Medical Appeal similar to the major event for this month on Saturday 30th August 2025, Ansini Windhaus Area, Murray Barracks.

There will also be an Ae Kapole Night after the day event at the Pondo Tavern which will be promoted in the upcoming days.
