We are honored to celebrate an amazing milestone — Sunday SME Bootcamp Batch 3 Graduation!

Through the Moni Pasin Program r graduates completed training in Financial Literacy, Business Skills, and New Business Ideas to help them grow and strengthen their businesses.

Over the weeks, they learned how to:
Manage money better - cash flow, budgeting, and saving
Build business skills - planning, marketing, and operations
Generate new ideas - to innovate and stay competitive

Each participant walked away with an attainment certificate and practical tools to take their business to the next level.

We were honored to have Business Link Pacific from New Zealand at the Lae
SME Incubator Hub!
A special thank you to Mr. Ramesh Chand, Stakeholder and Business

visiting us and engaging with our Hub team.

We had productive discussions on SME growth in Lae, Morobe Province,

NATIONAL SME DATA SURVEY

The Small Medium Enterprises Corporation (SMEC) in partnership with Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and Eywa Systems (Denmark), will conduct a National SME Database Survey across eight selected provinces in PNG. The survey forms part of SMEC’s initiative to establish a reliable and comprehensive Database for SMEs operating in PNG. The database will provide critical information aimed at improving business development services, financing, entrepreneurship training, market access, and evidence-based policy
interventions for PNG’s SME sector.

This project is funded by DFAT under First Climate Project.

It was a privilege for Lae SME Incubator Hub and our Sunday SME Bootcamp
Batch 3 participants to host Tony Delklin and Florence Koga from Credit
Guarantee Corporation at the Lae SME Incubator Hub on the 21st, 2026
During Session 2 of our Sunday SME Bootcamp Batch 3, they shared valuable
insights on how CGC helps PNG SMEs access finance through loan guarantees.

Our Batch 3 participants were informed on:
1. How CGC loan guarantees work and reduce risks for banks
2. What lenders look for when assessing SME loan applications
3. Steps SMEs can take to become “bank ready” and improve access to funding
Access to finance from the financial institutions is one of the biggest challenges
for SMEs in Morobe. Credit Guarantee Cooperation’s support for SMEs
accessing funding is a great step the Bank of PNG has taken to improve the
growth of businesses in PNG.

To Tony and Florence: Thank you for investing your time with our Batch 3
business owners. Your session has equipped them with tools to bridge the gap
between business ideas and funding opportunities.

What an exciting holiday for these amazing children, during the term 1 holiday break, most children in Lae engaged in leisure activities like sleeping in and watching TV. However, these children used their time productively. They participated in a program that taught them to adapt, develop
entrepreneurial mindsets through creatives arts and other marketable skills. Attending this training increased their motivation to elevate their learning beyond standard schooling and apply in a practical way.

Working with Screen Craft Media was an eye opening opportunity. Screen Craft Media is based in Melbourne, Australia. Our collaboration has was made possible through Social Media advertisement.
During the filming in Lae, the production team visited Tok Stret Consulting Ltd\Lae SME Incubator Hub to document how modern telecommunication supports Small Medium Enterprises (SME). They were able to feature one of our incredible local SMEs, Barbara Tomi - Barbz Coconut Oil, Barbara’s passion for skin care, hair care and herbal products, her entrepreneurial spirit are truly inspiring – she’s turning local coconut into amazing products.
And it’s a privilege for Lae SME Incubator Hub to work with Screen Craft Media to expose our SMEs on platforms like that to expand their business opportunities.
