The city seen from the head of the Puma.

As the centre of one of the most remarkable empires in history, the city of Cusco was laid out in the form of the great sacred amazonian cat (you can see it better on my instagram). The head of the Puma was Sacsayhuaman, the heart was the main ceremonial square, the body was shaped by the rivers Tulumayo and Huatanay, the tail was where both rivers meet, every single detail of the sacred city reflected the Inka universe.

Masters of stonemasonry.

It’s hard to actually figure out by a shot how big these rocks are, I’m obsessed with rocks, minerals, diamonds 😉… of all sizes and shapes, weirdo 😂! You need to visit this place, it’s jaw-dropping, each one of them weights from 90 to 128 tons, up to 5 meters high and 3 meters wide, they are huge and a sight to behold! Nobody knows how Sacsayhuaman was build, to this day it’s one of the most astonishing feats of human engineering.
..what I loved most, is the shape of every single one of them, different and unique, fitting together like a puzzle...

One of the most amazing places I’ve ever visited… Once upon a time you could find here huge temples, towers, warehouses… were arms, food, textiles, ceramics, precious metals… were kept. This 30,000 year old ancient construction is one of the most mysterious achievements of humans in the planet, today only 40% remains and one can only imagine how outstanding it must have been in its days of glory.

There is certain magic in studying ancient structures but knowing there are things that will keep being a mystery is mind-boggling… can I have a time machine please!

Boiling and dying yarn with brilliant natural colours. In a small village called Chinchero, thought to be the birthplace of the rainbow by the Incas, you can find one of the most vibrant and colourful traditional markets where local indigenous communities earn income selling goods with beautiful complex patterns learned from generation to generation preserving the country’s heritage.

If you leave Chinchero without supporting the community they’ll use your bones for weaving… no, not really, but they’ll tell you that 😂 jokingly, they actually use a llama bone. So put this on your bucket list and be amazed cause this could actually be THE RAINBOW VILLAGE.
