Wow!! What a night it was!! A great way to sign off as The Shoals, great b**r, great music and surrounded by great people🤘🏼🍻👍🏼🎸🥁🎤🇮🇪

It's crazy to think that Andrew and I started the band 3 years ago and we were still going strong right until the end. We've gone from playing at monks tap house as a duo to Joss Stone support act to headlining Muscats greatest music festival, sifah stock. It's been a pleasure and a privilege to have shared the stage with my two fellow band mates and we have made many memories that will remain for quite some time. But with all good things they must come to an end and so we say goodbye, firstly to Andrew Young.

Andrew heads back to blighty at the end of the month to embark on a new chapter and we wish him and his family all the very best in the future. It was an honor to played alongside you brother and I hope we get the opportunity to do it again some time soon👍🏼🍻. Your musical talent extends far beyond mine and many others, because let's face it, you can play every bloody instrument😂😂

Now! Every band needs a drummer that can sit in the pocket and add flavor and ours come in the style of Steve Burns. Arguably, Muscats hardest working drummer! It's amazing how a song can take on a new sound and direction when you are surrounded by people that inspire you and offering a quick wink or a nod from behind the cymbals is all the encouragement anyone needs to dive off into the musical deep end, comforted by the knowledge that everybody else is diving with you.

And of course, every band needs vocals and rhythm guitar and that's where I come😜 I'm an all in kinda guy and love nothing more than giving everything I can whenever we play. Not going with the grain and delivering the best we can was The Shoals mission statement from the start, play what we wanted and enjoy it and hope that people will recognize that.

The Shoals musical family spreads far and wide... Well, UK and China to be exact😂

Up first we have the man that brings 'da funk' with his Jazz Fusion licks and oaky timbre, Clive Bremner. I wouldn't have shared the stage with any other bass player, talented to the max and ready jump in to the musical chasm at the drop of a hat.

Lastly and by no means least, we the fastest fingers in the middle east, Will Ren. A total 'fan boy' to begin with but he quickly made his mark. Adding that little sparkle that's needed to any band that take it from good to great is Wills expertise, his efforts and talent were greatly received.

And of course behind every band are a group of people who show unwavering support and praise, the 'other halves'... To be honest I think they were just happy to have us out the house so they could enjoy some peace and quiet😂
They have endured hours upon hours of rehearsals, been tour bus drivers and roadies. They even treated us too, from new christmas cymbals to birthday guitars, they really have been so encouraging and supportive so Paula, Marie and Lynn thank you all very much😘

There's no point being in a band and having nowhere to play!
The Shoals have played a number of venues however, Milly O'Briens Irish Pub, where the b**r is warm and the people are cold... No wait!... The other way round! 😂 has been a staple for us from the start. They gave us our foot in the door and have been encouraging through not to mention offering the finest pint in muscat🍻 John, Kyle, Tom and Lyle thank you all for having us🍻🎸🥁🎤👍🏼🤘🏼🇮🇪

And! There's no point being in a band, having somewhere to play but having nobody to play to!

And that brings us to YOU! anyone who sat, stood, danced and listened, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You've all been amazing, loyal and enthusiastic about what we do and I know we are just a local band but you guys and gals make us feel like we are playing at Glastonbury, Woodstock or Sifahstock.. Take your pick😂 point is you've been amazing supporters of our music and we thank you for that.

And like they say "all good things must come to an end" and this is where our jounrny ends. So, from ALL of us at The Shoals, thank you and we'll see you for a b**r somewhere down the road🍻🎸🎤🥁

Unfortunately The Shoals will no longer be part of the muscat music scene. Thank you to all who came to see and support us, it's been a great journey and many amazing memories made👍🏼 see you all somewhere down the road...
