Progress rolling on nicely at the baxter build with the thermally broken windows now fully installed, Ply Eco Barrier wrapped around the exterior, and cavity battens being fixed off ready for the Colorsteel cladding.

This stage is all about making the home weathertight, energy efficient, and built to handle New Zealand conditions for years to come. The thermally broken joinery helps reduce heat transfer and condensation, while the cavity system behind the cladding allows airflow and drainage to protect the structure long term.

Once the Colorsteel starts going on, this home will really start to show its final look. Plenty of detail going into this one and the RN Building team are proud to see it all coming together. 🔨

Another tidy project completed by Mitch and Scotty 🔨

New 30m² garage completed, featuring 5-rib Colorsteel cladding, a Dominator garage door, and ply-lined interior walls for a practical, hard-wearing finish.

All finished off with a new concrete parking area.

Our new JCB Telehandler with 12m reach making light work of the heavy jobs on site. Today it was lifting water tanks into place on one of our new builds underway.

• Coordinating materials & deliveries
• Maintaining quality, safety & programme

Another major milestone reached on this new home build with the floor slab now poured and ready for framing. A lot goes into getting to this stage, and this one’s all about the prep — the part you don’t always see, but that makes all the difference.

Our team completed the full site excavation and slab preparation, carefully shaping and compacting the base to ensure everything is spot-on before moving forward. Reinforcing mesh was installed and tied off, along with underfloor insulation to help create a warmer home.

With the slab down and cured, we’re set up perfectly for the next stage as the framing starts and the house really begins to take shape.
