Unexpected Birth Notice!!!

It is with great excitement that Demelza and myself welcome the most unexpected arrival ever.

After 3 years of trying, we had resigned ourselves to the fact, we had the most beautiful paddock ornament ever " Redwood Lodge Estonia" imp Au, and that's all we'd ever have, after many failed results trying to get her in foal.

Redwood Lodge Estonia has been loaned out for a few months on babysitting duties, after a few photos on Saturday and being told of a possible impending birth, we were still sceptical about the possibility of her being in foal, due to constantly having milk for 3 years and negative scans and her cycling.

A few b***y shots on Sunday and it was quite evident that we were in fact having a foal.

This morning we received the news that an unsuspecting midwife had welcomed the new edition into the world.

"Essence of Arwen" CRA Sihr Shahrif + US (Enzo X Fame Magic VF) out of SS Shula (Simeon Shemini x Rula) owned in Partnership with Demelza Hoogeveen (Desert Heritage Arabians) competing at the New Zealand Arabian Horse Natioinals held at Hawera in the North Island at the weekend.

She placed "Top 3" Intermediate Filly in a class of extremely beautiful Fillies, we couldn't be happier with the result.

Red was expertly show prepped by Angela Rogers of Jameel Arabians and her awesome team of helpers on the day, thanks to Heath Rowbottom for taking up the lead and showing her beautifully.
