A month of Domehead! 🤘
Massive thanks to everyone who’s listened, shared and supported the track so far. Just one month in, and it’s already our best-performing release to date!
We’re stoked with the response and really appreciate everyone who’s helped get it out there.
And we’re not slowing down — we’re heading back into the studio later this month to record the next one.

'Barricades' is the first new track from Flaxxies off their upcoming EP, and it's a banger! 🤘

I enjoyed working with the band earlier this year to produce and engineer this track and other new songs, all recorded at The Lab Recording Studio, NZ, with expert mixing by the multi-talented Jol Mulholland.

Massive congrats to Blindspott for hitting number 1 on The Rock 2000 with Nil By Mouth! Can’t believe it’s been over 20 years since I mixed it, and it’s still going strong! 🤘

So good to see new music from Powder Chutes and Devilskin entering the countdown this year too. I'm excited for even more new songs I've been working on to hit the countdown next year... So much cool s**t in the works! 👀

I love taking my business on the road, especially when it takes me to one of the most beautiful parts of our country! 🏔

At the beginning of September, I travelled to Wānaka for a three-day pre-production session with Powder Chutes, as we continue to work on their second studio album.

🗓️ Day 1: Pre-production in the PowChu practice room where the band showed me new songs. Then it was road trip time, through the Lindis Pass and over to Sublime Music Studio in the Waitaki Valley. We spent the evening setting up to record live versions of the new tracks.

🗓️ Day 2: Sublime Music Studio... How good?! The most vibey studio - built in an old wool shed on a vineyard, with snow-capped mountains in the distance. We stayed in their cosy and quirky accom and were treated to incredible kai all weekend... oh and we also worked on some of the best songs I've heard from the lads yet, absolute bangers!

🗓️ Day 3: Pre-production on the new songs continued including working on a powerful acoustic track. Then we hit the road again for a drive back through fresh snowfall on the Lindis Pass to Wānaka.

What a trip! Massive thanks to Powder Chutes for inviting me to your neck of the woods, and to Tom, Steve and Fenella at Sublime Music Studio for your amazing hospitality and studio space. 🤘
