It's nearly the end of the month, but we still have events planned and things to do. Wednesday is our monthly Board Gaymes night, and our Monthly Neurodivergent Hangout is on Thursday. It's winter time, so we recommend bringing singing to keep you warm, a blanket, that cuddly bear of a partner, three layers of animal themed onesies... What ever you like, just dress warmly, HQ can be chilly 🥶. But fear not, out funding yeah are looking for resources do we can get some heating of some sort.
I'm the mean time, I'll be wearing my unicorn onesie 😉🦄
P.S. it's not all about the snacks 😆

Whangārei PROUD are calling to our local community to take action against the "Definitions of Woman and Man Bill" in the way we do best, by coming together, having fun and laughing in the face of direct discrimination.

To show our condemnation of this blatant and cruel attack on our transgender, takatāpui, intersex, MVPFAFF+, nonbinary, genderfluid, and gender-nonconforming communities, HQ will be open with the karaoke machine running, a fire burning and our voices raised singing our favorite tunes.

We will also be available to assist with filling in submissions against the bill, as well as talking, and answering questions, about why the Bill is a direct threat to our community. Public submissions on the Legislation (Definitions of Woman and Man) Amendment Bill must be completed by 11:59 PM on Thursday, 2 July 2026.
