Meraki Studio NZ Handbuilt Pottery in Ruatangata, Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand. Friends and family were gifted soap and kept coming back for more.

Here at Meraki Studio we love creating products made from herbal infusions that are good for your skin and soul. We have used natural products for a number of years (let’s not give away just how many years but it’s over 20 ;) ) and starting making them when our eldest was born 13 years ago. We held off soap making for a few years but finally gave it ago in 2016 and then the addiction started. This

lead to a complete overhaul at Meraki Studio from wool dyeing to sharing the beautiful body and bath products which are made in small batches on site that help you and your skin feel alive, refreshed and of course amazing. Pottery has always been a passion of mine. I took my first pottery class about 18 years ago, had a big break when the kids were born but started to dabble with clay again a few years ago. In 2021 we invested in a small kiln so will be offering hand built pottery items soon.

Tomorrow night we will be having a small update at 8pm.

There will be hearts (this one was made by Cara) and a few mugs that were spares from the April/May pre-order. I've kept what I need for the June/July orders.

We have also added more workshops online (flowers, butter dish, Christmas Trees etc).

Now I'm off to load the kiln with May workshop creations ready to bisque fire this week.

Pre-orders have been sorted.

I need to get some new photos for the website and bottoms still need to be sanded etc, so will hold off packing until Tuesday. Hopefully the weather clears by then.

They will definitely be with the Postie sometime this coming week though.

The June/July pre-order will close today.

Somehow I ended up with a free afternoon while waiting for the kiln to cool.

Some may have taken the opportunity to catch up on the housework that desperately needs doing. I however, made flowers for the garden.

I did put a load of washing on though. Does that count? 🤣🤣🤣

P.S
I'm having the weekend off. First time in a long time so the stuff in the kiln will get sorted on Tuesday.

Hi,

Just a few updates from me.

I've added a couple more Flower Workshops but these are for during the week so will be done over two nights.

The first night you will make your flowers. The second will be 3 weeks later so I can bisque fire them. You will then glaze them and leave them with me to do the final fire.

The Butter Dish Workshop will be increasing in price. I way underestimated a few things for this workshop. There's 3 spots left for July at the original price but any new dates etc will include the increase.

Today I am sanding platters and Butter Dishes from last month so expect an email from me soon.

Yesterday I fired the majority of the pre-order and will get the remaining few fired on Thursday. This kiln load also had last months Art Mugs in it.

Hearts from the last workshop will also be in Thursdays firing.

I think that is all 🤣
