🦇 MEET ANNETTE JACKSON — ENSEMBLE 🩸

As the shadows gather and the darkness descends, we’d like to introduce you to another member of our Dracula ensemble… Annette Jackson.

Annette returns to the stage under the direction of the amazing Helen — who also directed her in Calendar Girls three years ago. Now, she finds herself stepping into a world of blood, mystery and things that go bump in the night. 🩸🌙

🕯️ Annette says:

“Hello, my name is Annette Jackson and I have the privilege of being in the ensemble for Dracula, which is being directed by the amazing Helen, who directed the last play I was in, Calendar Girls, three years ago.

With the amazing talent of the cast and crew, you are in for a treat. Enjoy! ✨️”

We’re delighted to have Annette joining us on this dark and dangerous journey.

Sadly, we have just had news that one of the band members is unwell and is unable to travel tomorrow. The band is gutted that this means that they have to cancel their scheduled performance at Amdram Whanganui 😔

It is our hope that we can reschedule a performance in Whanganui some time soon and we'll endeavour to keep you posted on that once we know more.

🩸 THE FIRST NIGHT HAS BEGUN… 🦇

Yesterday, the doors closed.

The lights went down.

And for the first time, Dracula spoke.

Our cast gathered for the first read-through, and the pages of the script began to breathe. Voices filled the room. Characters emerged from the darkness. Secrets were whispered… and something ancient began to awaken.

This is only the beginning.

Soon, the castle will rise.
The shadows will lengthen.
The blood will run cold.
And the darkness will have a name.

DRACULA.

You have been warned.

🕯️ Do not enter the night alone.
🩸 Do not trust the darkness.
🦇 And whatever you do… do not invite him in.

A huge congratulations to everyone who has been cast in our upcoming production of Dracula. Thank you to everyone who auditioned—you made the casting process incredibly difficult with the talent, enthusiasm, and bravery you brought into the room.
