Nadine, originally from Germany, is a local artist and finds most of her inspiration in the surrounding nature. During her studies at university she focused mainly on painting and printing techniques. Since living in New Zealand she discovered nature - the native birds and plants, the coast, the dramatic landscapes - as a huge source of inspiration. She also found new materials such as driftwood,
paua and supplejack to work and experiment with. Yohan shares her passion for nature and also likes to work with natural materials. Often they work together on their Paua jewellery. Yohan is originally from France, but lives in NZ for more than 8 years now. He is a chef and well known in this area as the chef of the cowshed café, wich Nadine and Yohan were running in 2015 together. They both love gardening and good food and their passion for this became more than just a hobby when they started to sell their own organic seeds, veges, seedlings and plants from their garden. Also the salts&sugars, teas & dried herbs are made with herbs from their private garden in Seddonville and became quite famous on markets and little shops as the "Torea Gallery" in Granity. For Nadine and Yohan the most important thing is to feed your body and your soul well - with art & fresh,healthy and tasty food.
