EnPointe will provide your child with the nurturing and tuition required to develop them into the best dancer they can be. Class sizes are kept small to ensure each child receives the attention they require to fulfil their goals.

We would like to share an exciting studio update with you all! 🩰

As our dancers will be aware, our reception area was damaged during the flooding in Wellington in April this year. We are delighted that the reconstruction work has now been completed, and our reception area and downstairs bathroom are now fully functioning and have had a beautiful refresh.

Thank you everyone for your patience throughout this process and to the building team for helping us get everything back up and running! 🤍

We are so excited to bring additional contemporary, lyrical, and creative classes to our Friday timetable in Term 4 ✨

These NEW offerings include an Open Contemporary class for ages 10+, and an adult Contemporary/Lyrical class alongside Lyrical for up to 10 years and our Creative classes.

Fridays at EnPointe Dance Academy are all about creativity - exploring music and movement together.

This week, for our final week of Term 3, our theme of focus is musicality 🎶

Fundamental to classical ballet technique, musicality is the way in which we dance with the music; music and technique are deeply intertwined. It is about listening to the rhythm, the phrasing, and the character of the music, and allowing these qualities to inform the way we dance.

Here is a lovely example of a breath to demi-seconde, in which we can take a moment at the very beginning of an exercise to allow the music to fill us, infusing each movement that follows with the feeling it evokes 🤍
